For airfreight and courier services, the chargeable weight is either the actual weight or the volumetric weight, whichever is larger.
The actual weight is
what the scales are tipped at.
The volumetric weight is calculated as below. Please note that it is different for air freight compared to courier. If you have any doubts over which your consignment will be charged on, please ask us.
Courier consignments
length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm) / 5000
If you have multiple boxes, you need to do this for each box and add the volumetric weight for each box
together to get the total volumetric weight.
Example - 1 box @ 50cm x 50cm x 50cm has a volumetric weight of 25kg
Air freight consignments
length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm) / 6000
If you have multiple boxes, you need to do this for each box and add the volumetric weight for each box
together to get the total volumetric weight.
Example - 1 box @ 60cm x 60cm x 60cm has a volumetric weight of 36kg
